Public notice / records division

About the Department

The Department maintains records of messages that should have died in transit: forwarded warnings, copied jokes, cursed subject lines, quiz results, signature blocks, and other debris recovered from the public web.

These files come from the era when culture moved by reply-all, forum repost, guestbook, office printer, and one person insisting you had to send this to ten people before midnight.

Some entries are offensive, explicit, stupid, cruel, strangely beautiful, or all of the above. They are preserved as evidence, not advice.

None of this deserved a filing system, which is exactly why it gets one.
